… but it most certainly is! SearchMash.com is a new search engine that looks only a little like Google, but don’t let that fool you. It is a testbed for new innovations from the popular search engine company.
Try it out… play with the features, such as re-arranging the results list (doesn’t really do anything but re-arrange them, but can’t you see possiblities for user’s validating results placement?), having more options for the url links, and try out the “more results” bar to see the page act in an interesting manner.
This seems to be a place where Google can test out new interface innovations without changing the user experience on their flagship site. Neat idea… we can play with the Google of tomorrow, or just the Google idea of today.
